why do african american girls ruin their naturally beautiful hair?

Im a white girl and yes i understand the whole “long swinging hair is prettier ” lie that black women have been brainwashed to believe but permed hair and fake weaves does not look good on black girls i mean a halo of thick natural black curls is so beautiful i dont understand why black girls wanna take away from their natural beauty….blonde straight hair doesnt look good on a black girl…. it looks unnatural cheap fake, while i think natural thick fros a beautiful

so my question is why do black mothers tell there beautiful black daughters that their naturally beautiful hair needs to be ”fixed”?

and why as a beautiful African bride do you feel the need to take away from your natural beauty?
