Brazilian baby names are often known as Portuguese names, though there are some differences. In a Brazilian name, the child carries the last name of the father and the last name of the mother – the mother’s surname comes first, and the father’s surname comes last. In the law, however, it says only one surname is necessary, as well as one given name.
The history of Brazilian surnames is interesting. In ancient times, it was common for a girl to receive her mother’s surname and for a boy to receive his father’s surname. During these days it might be a bit unusual, but you can still find families in which the surname of the boys is different than the surname of the girls!

Ultimately, a child can be given two first names, followed by two surnames – or even more, depending on the family’s preference. They can go back to names from ancestors and use those as well. So it is possible that a child could be born with two given names and up to four surnames. That’s quite a mouthful to put on a birth certificate, isn’t it? When you see a list of names, it often has the surname listed first. In Brazil, however, it’s common to list the given name first, and alphabetize a list according to that order. This makes the choice of a first name even more important, because many parents want to see their child turn up at the beginning of lists, rather than the end.

Interestingly enough, most Portuguese names are lost on their Brazilian bearers. Most Brazilians don’t recognize the origins of their names because they are unfamiliar with the country in which the language originated! Therefore, if you ask a Brazilian what his or her name means, it will be rare that they can tell you the history of it. Many surnames in Brazil originated from tribal words, such as Tamoio or Guarany. Other names come from the earth, such as Palmeira, Pitanga, or Araripe.

What Brazilian baby names might be good for your child? Consider what you want the name to mean, but more importantly, consider where it comes from. Naming your child after the beautiful mountains you love so much is a sure bet that your child will have a personal meaning to carry along with that name. Popular given names include derivatives of the more common English names, such as Joana, Isabel or Teresa for women, and Antonio, Manuel or Francisco for men. Also very common are widely used surnames as substitutes for given names, such as Mozart, Jensen, Kennedy or Lenin.

Today things have changed, but still there are special customs depending on where you live.

In Australia, girls often ask boys out on dates and pay for everything.

In European countries, teenagers often go out on group dates.

Dating is actually forbidden in Iran. Boys and girls are kept separate until they are ready to be married and then their parents do the introductions.

Dating is also very rare in Afghanistan, as most marriages are arranged.

Japanese and Korean individuals usually do not begin dating until they are in college.

In Brazil, group dates are not common at all. People tend to date much longer before they get married.

In China, dating usually does not begin until an individual is in their twenties. Chinese singles usually only date one or two people before they get married. There are also still instances of arranged marriages.

In most Asian countries it is customary for young people to remain at home until they are married and often a newlywed couple will live with one set of parents for awhile after they are married.

In Kiev, women do not like to shake hands. They think that it is not feminine. A woman will hold onto a man’s arm when they are out on a date instead of holding his hand.

Relationships and marriage are important in all cultures, but the actual act of dating varies greatly depending on where you live.

In the recent past, fitness regime and girls are two topics that do not seem to get along at all. Recent surveys have shown that girls tend to turn their backs on fitness programs and thereby invite a lot of health hazards. Several surveys have been conducted in this regard and they all seem to point to the above given statement. Judy Notay, an eminent consultant on fitness education said that girls often tend to lose their enthusiasm in sports and other fitness activities after reaching an age of 12 or 13. There is a relative disinterest in team events as well.

KEEPING YOUR DAUGHTERS INTERESTED:

The only logical solution to keep your daughters interested in fitness programs is to enroll them in schools that are able to design fitness programs that cater to your daughters’ tastes. These fitness regimes should not seem as a burden to the students and on the other hand, should be interesting and attention captivating. Role modeling can be an answer to these demands.

THE FINAL SOLUTION:

According to the understanding of Rick Bella, Physical Education professor in University of Victoria, the disinterest in girl students for fitness programs only reflect the situation that exists in their respective schools. In his opinion, modern education curriculum has not been designed according to the needs and interests of the students. Moreover, it is being imposed on these pupils to a very large extent. Dancing is the only logical solution that has been realized so far.
Nowadays, a large number of schools and institutions offer training in a large variety of dance forms ranging from jazz to modern or even classical.

Outdoor activities and even aerobics can be attention captivating to a few and they also serve as major fitness programs. These programs keep the girls active to a large extent.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A REGIME:

Even though boys are said to have an upper hand in physical activities, girls are said to be very skillful. Thus Notay feels that the parents should search for fitness programs that are exclusive for girls. This will help in developing the in born skills in each and every girl. The leader of the program should be well aware of the basic needs of girls according to different age levels and should manage their programs in an effective manner.

Asian mail order brides

If you are reading this article, I will assume that you are a first-timer and have never taken scissors, a razor, an electric shaver or anything else to the fuzz growing between your legs. It may be in a state of complete chaos and you’re wondering how things ever got so out of control…but the important thing is that you’ve taken that first step and decided to shave.

Before you get started, you may want to take some time to consider the various hair styles and designs you can select when it comes to taking this hair removal plunge. There is so much to cover, we’ve made a completely separate article about it. In the past, it has been common to just trim or pluck the bikini area, go with a basic landing strip pattern or simply shave it all off. But in the 21st century, people are taking a much more creative approach to pubic hair grooming; shaving or waxing intricate patterns into their hair and even coloring it.

You’ll should gather everything you’ll need in the bathroom (generally the best place to do this task) so you don’t need to stop in the middle of the process to fetch something. I will be focusing on shaving with a personal razor (non-electric) and shaving cream for the majority of this article. I personally use the Gillette Venus Vibrance and find it leaves a very smooth shave. If you want to save a few bucks on razor blades, you don’t need to buy their special Vibrance blades because they are no different than the original Venus ones aside from coloring – but don’t tell Gillette I told you that!

Now it’s time to get down to business. One of the first things you will want to do is trim down your pubic hair with a pair of clean scissors or an electric razor. (If you’ve shaved before and your pubic hair isn’t very long, you can skip this first step and just start with the main event.) You want your scissors or razor to be clean so you don’t cause yourself any unnecessary risks of infection. When you shave, it is likely that tiny nicks will develop (some of them so tiny you won’t even see them) and if you’re using scissors you were just using to prune flowers in your garden or an electric razor you used on your dog, your chances of a bacterial infection are certainly going to be elevated.

“Trim down” means what it sounds like. The goal is not to remove all your pubic hair in this step but to thin the trees back so you can get an effective shave with your razor later on. Otherwise you will end up cleaning your razor many, many times to keep the blade exposed and may end up snagging hairs which is never pleasant. You may want to do the trimming over the toilet bowl or in your shower, but you will certainly want to collect the hair you trim off somehow. If you are planning to be waxed instead of shaving, your pubic hair should be around one quarter of an inch long but no shorter than one eighth of an inch.

If you haven’t done so already, why not check out your hair situation now in the mirror and see how things are going? You may find that after a trim, you have reached a pubic hair length which you are comfortable with. It’s your hair and if you’re not ready to go completely bare yet, there’s no pressure. But if you are ready to go on, so am I.

It’s now time to get wet and lather up. I prefer to shave in the shower after I’ve washed my hair because it gives the skin a bit of time to warm up and lets the steam of the warm shower soften the skin. You could also take a bath first but should shave at the end when you are ready to drain the water. I also usually put one leg up on the side of the bathtub or on a stool or step in the shower so I have better access to everything.

Cover your pubic hair with shaving oil, jelly or lather to form a layer of lubrication between your skin and the razor. I like to use shaving oil and jelly because I can feel the razor sliding over the skin smoothly, without leaving cuts and nicks. If you are desperate, hair conditioner can also be used but for best results I’d only use it in a real emergency.

You may also want to give some consideration to the type of shaving matter you use and what skin types it is recommended for. My favorite products are Venereous Shaving Oil and Venereous Shaving Jelly from Newf Brand. You can use them together, the jelly layered over the oil, or you can use each of them separately. Using them together just gives you an extra layer of shaving protection against nicks and leaves the skin extra moisturized. Plus neither of these products foam so you can actually see what you’re shaving which is very useful.

Some gels have mint and other ingredients in them which may not be suitable for the sensitive skin in your nether regions. I have not had any adverse reactions using men’s shaving gel versus women’s but I generally select a product for sensitive skin. Some women’s shaving gels state on the label that they are recommended to be used in the bikini zone and generally have a more feminine scent to them.

I usually cover the entire area I am going to shave at the beginning so I don’t need to set the razor down constantly and fiddle with the container of shaving gel. You can always go back and add more shaving oil later, but be careful with some gels and creams because if you leave leave them on too long, you may start to notice a burning sensation on your skin. If that occurs, wash the lather off immediately and give your skin a few moments to recuperate. If you have another shaving lather, you may want to use it for the rest of the process and I would recommend not using the shaving lather which burns you again in the future for this sensitive area.

Now you’re ready to put the blade to your skin. Don’t be scared. If you’ve shaved your legs before, you know that it can take a little time before you are fully comfortable with all the contours of your body. Shaving your mound is no different and each one varies so you may find that these steps don’t work perfectly for you or that a different order is a bit better. I’m just speaking from my personal shaving experience over the last 8 years.

Start with the top of your mound, use one hand to gently pull back the skin so it is tight and, with the razor in the other hand, shave down with the hair growth. I like to start on the sides near the crease of my legs and then work towards the center. After I’ve shaved most of my mound against the hair growth, I then shave against the growth and sometimes from side to side.

In some areas of the body, such as the armpits, hair grows in multiple directions and to get a very close shave, you need to shave in each direction of growth to get every hair at its base. But when first starting out this can increase your chances of razor burn in the end so be sure that you have plenty of lather covering your mound while doing this. Run your fingers over your mound and if it’s smooth, you’re ready to go on.

The lips can be a bit trickier although the outer labia should be similar to shaving your mound. Shaving against the hair growth usually gets most of the hairs although you may have to retrace your stroke one or twice to catch any strays. Try not to go over the skin too many times, though, as this also might cause irritation later on. If you feel the need to shave with the hair growth, be careful because you may end up nicking yourself which is quite uncomfortable.

To shave inside your labia, use your free hand to gently roll the lips open and carefully pull the razor up along the edge of your lip and around the upper ridge to get those little hairs which will really agitate your partner during oral sex if they are missed.

At this stage, you are more or less finished. You may want to reach back and give your anus a quick once over just to be thorough. This is where a second set of hands would come in very handy. In fact, you may want someone to assist you during this entire process but try not to get too carried away or you may end up with a lot more cuts than you expected.

Once you get out of the shower or the tub, you may want to use a moisturizer such as Venereous Mountain Mist to help prevent irritated skin and razor burn. Try to avoid excessively touching the area for a few hours as that may also cause irritated skin.

If you decide you love the feeling of your smoothly shaved mound, maintaining this style is simple. You will probably only want to shave every few days at first until your skin gets used to this constant new attention. If you do decide to start shaving daily right from the start, your skin may be more sensitive and irritated for the first few days that you continue this process. But as it adjusts, any discomfort and elevated levels of irritation usually subside.

Although shaving can be a bit tricky and it does take a bit of getting used to, most women love the results – and so do their partners! If you’re doing this just for someone else, don’t forget to let them know that you did go to some trouble and would really appreciate if they went out of their way to clear the forest too (if they aren’t already)!

Costa Rica is considered to be one of the 20 countries with greatest biodiversity in the world. Its geographic position, its two coasts and its mountainous system, which provides numerous and varied microclimates, are some of the reasons that explain this natural wealth, both in terms of species and ecosystems. The more than 500,000 species that are found in this small country represent nearly 4% of the total species estimated worldwide. Of these 500,000 species, just over 300,000 are insects.

Palmares Fiestas:
When Costa Ricans are done celebrating the Christmas and New Year holidays, they have yet another party to look forward to: The Palmares fiestas, one of Costa Rica’s most anticipated traditional celebrations. Palmares, a small town between Alajuela and San Ramon, is known for hosting the best fiestas and tope (horse parade) in the country. During the second half of January, Palmares becomes the focal point for many locals. Each year, the Palmares fiestas begin the second week of January and continue through the month with a series of events planned by the Asociacion Civica Palmarena. While I don’t believe that there are set-in-stone makeup tips for brown eyes, I do know some people like to have a set of “rules” to help them out. This article is going to cover some very basic steps that women with brown eyes can follow. Keep in mind that variety is the spice of life, and if you really like a color there is no reason why you shouldn’t try it out. You may be surprised at how good it looks on you. In my experience, experimenting is all the fun. So, remember these are merely guidelines to help you choose colors when you’re standing there in front of 300 colors and have no idea where to start. Just because I don’t mention anything about a certain color does not automatically exclude it from the list.

Choosing An Eyeshadow

The most popular question I get is “what eyeshadow can I wear with my eye color?” Listen up, and I’ll tell you.

General makeup tips for brown eyes always include browns, beige and neutral tans. Grays and charcoals look good with this eye color, as do violet and lavender. You can mix it up with a lavendar and a violet.

Khaki and olive green are a great color combination. Browns with green highlights or copper highlights are always a fun option. Try copper and even gold. If your eyes have a tinge of green, or like mine are half green, choose green eyeshadows as well.

You’ll find that even though you’ve heard that you should never wear an eyeshadow the same color as your eyes, that brown shadow can look very good with brown eyes and green shadow can look very good with green eyes. Sometimes it’s a matter of finding the “right” shade. Brown eyeshadows are all pretty safe, so you don’t have to worry too much about those. Colors like purple, green and blue require a bit more testing.

Black is out, so don’t use it as an eyeshadow.

Keep trying until you find a color you like. You’ll know when it’s right- trust your instincts.

Colors To Avoid

Like I said, I hate to rule anything out, but makeup tips for brown eyes should include that certain pink and mauve eyeshadows can cause you to look swollen or puffy around your eyes. It isn’t true for all women or for all pinks, either. But if you’re certain you don’t want to risk it, avoid pinks. Mauves also fall into this category. It may be because women with brown eyes tend to have more yellow skintones making them warm complexioned and pinks and mauves are definitely cool colors. The blue in the pinks can react with the yellow of the skin producing an unattractive feature.

And while it isn’t specifically makeup tips for brown eyes, you may want to avoid blue eyeshadow too. There’s the misconception that blue eyeshadow is “out”, but like I said, it really depends on who’s wearing it. Playing it safe would include skipping this color.

Silvers are not a good color for brown eyes. They tend to cause a “washed out” look. Leave silver for blue eyes.

Eyeliner Colors

And now for the eyeliner colors. Brown eyes always should include dark brown and black eyeliner. These are very good choices for this eye color. Don’t line your black liner too thick, though. That’s passé. Racoon eyes are a big no-no.

If you’re trying to open small eyes, line with silver or white, especially the first third from the inside corner of your eyelid. Then finish with a dark brown.

Navy, forest green, violet and copper are also great eyeliner choices. Play around with the different colors and pick the ones you like best.

When you travel you’re going to have to deal with a different culture, a different standard of living, a different language. You’re also going to have to watch out for petty thieves and scammers, depending on where your going. Thankfully there are guides out there, that can guide you step by step towards traveling, and meeting and dating foreign women. But even with these great guides, it will take some time, effort, and money on your part in order to accomplish these great results. In Scotland, there is a festival on Valentine’s Day where young men and women write their names on pieces of paper and put them into separate hats, one for men and one for women. Names are drawn out by both parties, but the men, irrespective of the names they have drawn, have to dance with the women who pick them. And a world of dancing and merrymaking follow.

In Australia, the Valentine’s Day celebrations resemble those of America. Gifts and flowers are given out to loved ones. It is a heavily publicized event and the shopping malls are decorated and attract a lot of visitors on this day. However, it is not too much of a “festival” in Australia.

In Japan, there is a unique tradition. Women buy a particular type of candy called hon-mei and gift it to the person they are romantically attached to. It can be a crush, boyfriend, fiancé or husband. Then after one month, on March 14 (also known as White Day), the men return the favor by sending candies to all the women who remembered them on Valentine’s Day. The candies sent out by the men are generally white because of the name of the day.

In Brazil, there is no such thing as Valentine’s Day. However, something like Valentine’s Day, “Dia dos Namorados” is celebrated on June 12. On this day lovers gift each other candies, flowers, cards and other love presents.

The Chinese celebrate Valentine’s Day on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. Contrary to the Western custom of giving gifts to the beloved, the young girls make artistic items and offer them to Zhi Nu, the weaving maiden, in prayer for better needlework skills and also for loving husbands.

The language of love is universal and no matter where in the world you are in, Valentine’s Day is celebrated all around with equal joy and affection.
